Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to get a visa prior to the trip to Italy?

Nope! Some of you may have heard that ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) will be introduced by the European Union for all Schengen area member countries. That requirement has been pushed to 2025, so NO visas are needed for stays less than 90 days right now. Please feel free to read more about it here.

What is the dress code for our wedding weekend?

Our dress code for the welcome party on Friday night is cocktail attire. We’ll be in a garden with grass, so please be mindful of footwear (a block heel, low heel, or flat shoes/sandals recommended).

Our dress code for our wedding ceremony and celebration on Saturday is black tie optional! Tuxedos or suits for the men. Ladies, please wear floor length dresses (no light neutral or white dresses). The castle has some cobblestones, pea-sized gravel, and grass, so we’d recommend a block heel, low heel, or flat shoes/sandals!

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be inside the church, while cocktail hour and the reception will be outside with shady spots.

What is the weather like in the area?

The average historical high is around 79 degrees F during the day. To combat the heat, the wedding will be held later in the day and well into the night!

Is there parking available near the ceremony and reception venues?

Yes! There is plenty of parking behind the church and there will be valet parking at the reception venue, but we encourage guests to carpool or utilize the provided shuttle.

Will there be a shuttle to and from the wedding?

Yes! We want our guests to indulge and enjoy without having to drive. There will be a shuttle from the Grand Hotel Impero to the church ceremony, from the church ceremony to reception and finally, from the reception back to the Grand Hotel Impero at the end of the night.

Please find the detailed shuttle schedule here.

What time should I arrive at the wedding ceremony?

Please arrive no later than 4:45pm as our ceremony will start promptly at 5pm.
